Our Travel Experiences
First off, we had a small incident in Barelona, Spain. Just behind our hotel was a quaint street about two miles long full of open cafes, museums, curio shops, etc. We were walking the street taking pictures of the pretty buildings, when L. C. looked down a side street and saw some outstanding balconies and multi-colored buildings. We decided to go down that street to see what we could see. About one block down, a guy stuck his head out of a cafe looking at us. Further down the street, a women started yelling at us. She threw a can of Fanta soda at us as she screamed profanities. The man at the cafe called out, "She's a prostitute and you guys are in the wrong place. Better head back the way you came." We nodded and hightailed it back to the main road.
The Hayden's enjoy traveling around the country in their RV, working cruises, attending writer and reader conferences and just visiting with friends and relatives.
Here are some pictures of our two working cruises in 2009. We were lucky enough to do the Med and also the Panama Canal that year. As you know, Rich broke his shoulder in 2010 so we did nothing that year.
