Ruins in downtown Rome. This is the reason there is no subway (underground-not fast food!) in Rome
Herculaneum, smaller than Pompii, has much better ruins. One of five cities of ancient Italy covered when Mt. Vesuvius blew it's top. Buried under the present day town of Ercolano, most of the ancient town will not be exposed.
